British singer-songwriter Eliza Skelton has a voice which can shift gear from raw power to a ghostly breath in the blink of an eye; she writes richly inventive songs lauded as ‘transitional folk for the 21st century’ that brood with darkness and for a recluse, Eliza certainly likes to collaborate.

A member of Brighton collective The Foundry Group, she performs with countless musical ensembles, as well as entertaining audiences with the show ‘Sing-along-A-Wicker-Man’ alongside Brighton omniscient David Bramwell.

In 2013 she and Paul Simmons released the first album from their award nominated brainchild  The Desperate Ones which has been described as ‘punk rock scholars dreaming of twangy desert landscapes from English treehouses.’

Eliza rarely performs her solo music live, this will be an opportunity to hear songs from her forthcoming album The Serenade of Rough Music, as well as a combination of folk, electronica, Jazz and Jacques Brel.

Eliza will be joined by a bounty of musical talent including the unusual and exceptional Jane Bom-Bane and polymath Emma Kilbey from the dark madrigal folk trio The Silver Swans, extraordinary guitarist Paul Simmons (The Bevis Frond, The Cravats, The Alchemysts),  Jazz genius Jim Whyte, multi-instrumentalist and film maker  Dan Burke (The Dead Celebs), an exclusive UK performance from Oddfellows Casino and more.

Plus, for one night only, The Desperate Ones will be joining Eliza on stage to play songs from their album 1906 (which can be downloaded at http://thedesperateones.bandcamp.com/album/1906 )
